Exercise has a THERAPEUTIC effect on the mind and body
How does success work on self-esteem
By winning, and being successful boasts your self esteem. Likewise by being mediocre, and failing in things dents your self esteem. It is important to take on projects, work hard, and succeed. Success in projects provides incremental booast to self esteem.
What is the test to see if you are in the right job or not
If your eyes don’t lite up every morning with anticipation when you wake up – then perhaps you are not in the right job. If you are looking forward with excitement to the activities of the day ahead – then you are in the right job. Give yourself this test.
What does evoke the end goal mean
Evoke the feeling of accomplishment (for example, the one you will get by completing a marathon)…Get into the spirit, push yourself. Evoke in your mind the end goal, keep visualizing it, and then work towards attaining it.
What is the reward from hard work
You basically should work hard and the reward is the feeling of CONTENTMENT that comes from putting in the hard work, achieving what you want to achieve. Your work for that feeling of contentment.
What does setting Time Targets mean
Set a target clock time for completion (or start) of an activity and then do everything to meet that target. For example, if a certain office work needs to be completed, you should set a target disregarding everything else and say, for example, I will complete it by 12:00 noon. Children should have a target, say for example, of being there for Yoga at 6:30am disregarding everything else. Notice how you can watch a movie for 3 hours with complete concentration. Likewise you have to be able to work on tasks with same concentration and take yourself thru similar emotional ups.
Why be active in the Stock Market
By being active in the stock market keeps you in lockstep with everything of significance going on in the world. Your worldview is not limited to the things and experiences around you, but it expands your worldview and your understanding vastly, and beyond your immediate surroundings.
What is meant by getting to the point of independence
The whole idea of work, performance, excellence, is to get to the point of independence.. to be able to do things on your own, in your own way.

You should earn all the money, but live modestly, frugally
How do you connect with people and not be isolated
Humour, light hearted attitude is very contagious. Also, jokes, stories, anecdotes, food, help to connect with people. Playing a common sport also helps you connect with people. Actually, all group activity’s – social work, puja, gurdwara, country club, public speaking, etc help in connecting with people
What is your understanding about Quality of Life
ust about everything we do at its core is all about improving the Quality of Life. The medical profession – doctors, surgeons, give hope, and improve the quality of life of those who do not have. In computer performance improvement we improve the quality of computing that is going on in their hardware and software. If you design clothes using material that feel better against the body, that fit you better, that’s also about improving the quality of life. Everywhere you look, any significant enterprise is all about improving the Quality of Life.
What is push and shove of the stock market
You do not have any control in the stock market. You just have to respond in accordance with the action of others. If you do not respond with ultimate discipline, you will just be pushed and shoved in the stock market.
What is the anology between weather and stock market
Just like the weather is not in your control so is the stock market not in your control. Like the weather is different every day, so is the stock market. Each day you must consider the weather, evaluate, and act accordingly. You have to be the meteorologist reading the weather in the stock market
What pushing hard means
Everyone to be pushing themselves harder all the time, no TV, just Active all the time in one thing or another. Crocodiles to be working on everyones butt. Stress and busy is good.
What is navigating the stock fishing boat
The stock job is like that of a fisherman sitting on the bridge or the boat waiting for the fish to show up – for the opportunity to happen. Until then you have to just wait patiently with your hook and line in the water. Many times the whole day can pass without any opportunity. When big %changes, and heavy 10K+ trades are not taking place you can spend the whole day accomplishing nothing. If any stocks move, they will do in a spotty manner here and there. Volatility will kill you. During such times, identify strong stocks & trade them across several days – the only way at such times.
What is meant by human spirit
By not giving up, but constantly evolving, analyzing, until you succeed is what the triumph of the human spirit is all about.
What are the benefits of exercise/running
Running benefits you in all 3 areas – physically, mentally, and emotionally. Achieving goals will booast self image, body image, and self confidence. Goals should be reasonable, attainable, and incremental
What is the stock reference shape
Trade the stock only if it attains the reference shape, otherwise wait until it does attain that shape. The shape is a reflection of the underlying buying or selling that is taking place. Trade only when the correct type of buying or selling is confirmed by the shape.
What is Daily Review
Ask yourself at the end of each day – did I navigate the day right relative to what I should be spending time on and what I should have been doing. You can do this review every hour also, or every half day, etc. About 60% of your wakeup time should be spent on productive activities and about 30% on leisure activities – watching TV, golf, movies, being with friends, etc.
What does running the Marathon symbolize
Taking part in the marathon is a formal expression of the committment of our family of being serious about our physical fitness and staying fit. The whole idea is to try and make yourself stronger – like the people you see running the marathon. Taking part in the marathon is just a measure of how strong you have become. The whole idea is to become stronger. How you run the marathon is a barometer of how fit you are.

By constantly, and repeatedly reviewing these transformative ideas, by listening to NPR programs, TED Radio hour, TED talks, reading getAbstract summaries, you can be nourishing your mind
How do you become a Cheerful Personality
You must have good speaking skills… as well as good Attitude. Attitude makes all the difference. Have a cheerful personality that keeps things light and lively all the the time
What is the importance of Fun and Laughter
While being ACTIVE all the time and all purposefully working, the house should also be full of joy, laughter, fun, and enjoyment all the time. If you can make people laugh, tickle their emotions, it makes you likeable to them, it makes you connect to them. If you can take their emotions up and down – thats like a roller coaster ride. Everybody enjoys it.
What is the importance of good sleep
If your partner is snoring, or using a breathing device that produces sounds, or the ceiling fan is noisey – all that can effect the quality of your sleep, how you feel throughout the day, how fresh, energetic, and mentally alert you are, etc. Therefore good, deep, undisturbed sleep is very very important for success in life. The use of simple, inexpensive, ear plugs while sleeping can make all the difference. So consider using them, if required, and feel good throughout the day. With sleep you will regain your strength. How well you jog can be an indication of how well you are sleeping
What is the understanding about progress in India
From the television shows, to the media reports, to global recognition, India is beginning to breakout, and is being destined to become a world economic super power by 2050. We have a natural advantage because of this, and we should consider EXTENDING ourselves back to India rather than just limiting ourselves to America. There is great hope for the future here, which in past used to be only in America.
What is your insight about acquiring assets
Acquire assets such as property in Vasant Vihar, that increase in value in the background over time. Yes there are some activities for managing the asset, but thats a part of the territory. Over time you learn how to do that. The more assets you acquire the more your financial stability. Stocks are also like assets – they are assets that you can very easily get in and out of. These are also a convenient asset unlike property, and do not have any hasseles of property management – provided you can grow the stock asset – then they are great, and really convenient. What is emotional roller coaster
Emotional Roller Coaster. TV serials, movies, etc exploit you and grab your attention by creating artificial situations/circumstances that take you thru emotional roller coaster. When you think about it you find that EVERYTHING of importance in life has predominantly a large portion of emotional roller coaster in it – EVERTYTHING. Think about it.
What is your insight about careers/jobs
What is a Fashion Design career like, or for that matter any career like. No matter what field you are in, you have to use your brain power towards the different elements of that field. Secondly, you will have budgets ($10 to $100 million), and you will have to generate profits. Just the individual details of every field will vary. But budgets and profits are the common elements. Whatever career you choose you have to get to the point of making about $250,000/yr in it, because thats what you need for a good life. Also, every job at best is an intellectual pursuit.
What is writing your future resume ?
What are the things you would like to see in it, what would make your resume absolutely undeniable, completely rounded. Write your future resume – with all the things that you would like to see in your resume, even if they are not very sharply defineable right now.
What about Staying Fit
When not working, spend rest of the time Staying Fit. Run regularly, visit Athletic Club 1-2 times a week for resistance training – it is not time away from running, but it booasts, suplements, strengthens your running. Once children are settled, maybe I will run marathons around the world along with Sangeeta. Thats how we will spend our time traveling around the world. Jog in your comfort zone, and at times push yourself hard and be out of it. Running has a kind of therupetic effect on your body, and mind. It strengthens your mind.

Attempt to do new things, things that you have not done before, come out of your comfort zone, and work on something new, something different, something that challenges you.
What is the anology between Cooking and Stocks
Just like it takes time for pickles to cure and become ready, similarly, it takes time for stocks to reach their peak over several days/weeks.
What is your understanding of heart rate and body cycles
You must jog powerfully, but dont have to do it very fast, only at the speed that keeps you at your target heart rate which is 70% of 220-age (70% of 220-48 = 120 approx.). Concentrate on deep breathing when jogging. Also understand your body cycle – how many days you can work out, and then how many days you need to rest to recover, and the pain to go away.

What should be our Food Habits
Do not visit restaurants. Eat healthy, fresh, wholesome food. Drink milk – balanced, wholesome food by itself, inexpensive. Eat whole grain breads, cereals, soya milk etc. Fruit juice, vegetable juice, cottage cheese, cheese slices, fresh salads (romaine, spring salad), peanut butter, nuts of all kinds.
What does Running regularly do for you
Running regularly, everyday, will give you benefits in all 3 areas – physically, mentally, and emotionally. Within a week you will start feeling strong, and good. It will improve your self image, and your body image, and booast your confidence. Achieving your goals will booast self confidence, self image, and body image. You will start feeling strong. Have atleast 3 jogging courses for variety. Visit Athletic Club for resistance training 1 or 2 times a week. Drink milk. Keep a running log recording how you felt physically, and emotionally. Get into the rythm of deep breathing.
