MEL mentions that you can depart as long as the opposite system operates normally, How do you know the opposite system is operating normally?
Check status page after start to know this
When do you have to refer to the DDG?
Before taxi under own power for the purpose of taking off
Up until 80 kts could be a correct answer as we stop for everything up to that speed
Before engine start - for STATUS messages
After engine start - When EICAS messages pop up
What does the CDL cover?
Covers deficiencies externally that affects aircraft performance such as missing aero-dynamic farings, service and acess panels, static dischargers etc
Which one of “CAPPED” or “DEACTIVATED” brakes will allow for more weight to be carried?
They Deactivate the brakes. How would you calculate how much you would take off as fuel and how much you would take off as cargo?
Deactivated -3,5 tons
Capped -50 tons
Multiply the reduction (-3,5t) by the ramp correction. That gives you the amount of fuel to take off, the rest is cargo
Should you re-set a Circuit Breaker that pops?
No, not unless the action/requirement is called for in a FCOM non-normal or supplementary procedure/maintenance procedure
Do you need CPDLC to fly Y1?
Yes
If you have a fault that is not in the MEL, can you depart legally?
No
What does blue squares on fan blades indicate?
NDI tested (x-ray tested)
