ON/OFF DC SERVICE Switch, what does it do?
A
Connect the DC service bus to the APU BATT DIR BUS.

What happens if you leave the DC SERVICE BUS switch in the ON position?
A
In-flight:
You’ll get a service configuration amber caution msg on the DC electrical page - indicating that the DC service has been selected ON. (Not necessary to use in a flight)
On ground:
Kills the APU BAT.

What is the main purpose of having the DC SERVICE BUS switch?
A
Used for ground crew for cabin cleaning and towing. Provides certain interior and exterior lights for servicing the aircraft.
