When can you return to the platform if you have an overrun?

A

-Less than 400 metres
-The driver or conductor can confirm that no one has fallen from the train if a door release has been given
-There is no automatic crossing to over (unless crossing has wrong direction controls)
-Signaller has given authority

A

Serious flat, but no other damage (bonk bonk bonk) – advise signaller and proceed at no more than 20mph when authorised

More serious flats (bang bang bang) or wheels cannot be freed – DO NOT MOVE

-Tell signaller
-Contact MDC and follow instructions given
-If you are required to move to a location for a fitter to examine, proceed no more than 20mph

-Check power is holding ALL train doors closed by physically checking the doors
-If any doors are then subsequently opened only the doors on the side of the train that were released must be physically checked by hand before proceeding
