Presence, intellect, and Character
Character
It is who you are, what you are made out of, the ability to identify wrong from right and pick right. Army values, empathy, warrior ethos, discipline
Presence
impression a leader makes on others contributes to his success. Army/professional bearing, fitness, confidence, resilience
Intellect
mental tendencies and resources that shape conceptual abilities. Mental agility, sound judgement, innovation, interpersonal tact, expertise.
Leadership
process of influencing people by providing purpose, direction, and motivation to accomplish the mission and improve the organization
three categories of organizational management

Resource Management
is the direction, guidance, and control of financial, facilities, supply, equip, human capital, and other resources
Talent Management
is the systematic planning for the right number and type of people to meet the Army’s needs at all levels and at all times so that the majority of them are employed optimally.
Personnel Management
is a part of mgmt that deals with gains, losses, and development of the force and their relation with the organization to achieve the organizational objectives
Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP)
- Ensuring that the govt money is spent wisely
- Guidance for evaluation inventories
Family Advocacy Program (FAP)
Committed to preventing domestic abuse, child abuse, and neglect

Situational Leadership
Leaders adjust their actions based on the situation
Informal leadership
leadership guidance does not have to come from the highest ranking. Informal leadership manifests itself through knowledge, experience, or technical expertise
Collective leadership
refers to the combined effects and synergies when leaders at different levels synchronize their leadership actions to achieve a common purpose.
