What is Relative Dating?
Comparing individual; artefacts to another to help them find when it is from.
What is absolute dating?
It is measuring the chemical element in an artefact.
What is tree ring dating?
Tree ring dating or dendrochronology is using and studying trees to create a chronological order and to help figure out when the artefact is from, it is used to date wood objects.
What is Radiocarbon dating?
Radiocarbon or C-14 dating is the amount of Carbon left in the body and is then measured and used to estimate its age. This works because all living things absorb carbon, and carbo fades over time, so the less carbon, the older, the more carbon, the younger.
What is Thermoluminescence dating?
It is when scientists heat objects to a very high temperature and then measure the light energy given off. The more light the more older the objects is. This only works for dating inorganic (not living) materials.
