Q

What is metadata?

A

Certain data must be defined for a bitmap image, this is called metadata (or data about data). This includes the size of the grid, the type of compression used to store it and the time and date of when the photograph or video was taken.

Q

What is resolution?

A

The number of pixels you use for the height and the width. An image with a low resolution looks pix elated and blocky. The higher the resolution the better the image quality.

Q

What is the difference between vector images and bitmap images?

A

A bitmap image is made up of pixels and if it is enlarged in will display a blocky and pixelated image. A vector image is drawn following mathematical instructions, they can be scaled infinitely without loosing any detail or quality.
