what are the 8 principles for DPA?

A
  1. fair and lawful- reason for collecting data, not allowing a negative impact on the person.
  2. purposes-pen about reasons for use of data, only allowed to use data for said purposes
  3. adequacy- cannot collect too much data, used appropriately
  4. accuracy- must be kept up to date and updated
  5. retention- not kept longer than needed
  6. rights- if data is kept for longer then it cannot be used, people can access and dispose their data safely, person can demand it to be deleted
  7. security- physical system must be used to keep important information, not be exposed to endue security risks
  8. international transfers- cannot be transferred outside the EU
