What is the dance style?
Contemporary and contact work.
What was the choreographic approach?
It has used the choreography from ‘There we have been’ and sets it outside. The original choreography was created with the dancers through improvisation.
What was the stimulus?
James was inspired by personal experiences and stories to create a love story with a twist. He wanted to show two people who could never be together.
What is the Choreographic intention?
To create a dance which maintains emotional intensity and portray an abstract love story which can be open for interpretation.
How many dancers are there?
2-1 male and 1 female
What is the aural setting?
The accompaniment was created specifically by Seymour Milton and creates a haunting atmosphere.
What are the costumes?
The female wears a beige skirt and shirt and the male dancer wears a khaki jumper and jeans.
How is lighting used?
There is only natural light which shows the development through time.
What is the performance environment?
It is site sensitive and is performed for camera. It is set in remote locations to show isolation.
