Classical dance
A form of dance which incorporates elements of both classical ballet and rodern dance. It takes its technique and use of point work from classical ballet, although it permits greater range of movement that may not adhere to the strict body lines set forth by school of ballet technique.
• Maintains the technical foundation of classical ballet but incorporates more fluid and expressive movements, often breaking the traditional ballet mold

Highest form of dance for the purpose of entertainment
• Often involves improvisation and innovative choreography to express ideas, emotions, or stories.
Example: Modern dance, contemporary dance.
Creative dance
Dance set in a social gathering with more formal atmosphere than the simple and informal parties in which the recreational dances are the usual forms
• These dances follow specific steps and patterns and are often competitive or performed at social gatherings.
Example: Waltz, Tango, Salsa.
