Taxi checks
Break check, then instruments:
altimeter zero
Right turn, Ball left, attitude stable, gyro increasing
compas free floating
Left turn, ball right, gyro decreasing
Standard takeoff
Keep RW heading with rudder, stick towards the wind
Full power (sufficient right rudder) max RPM check
Airspeed is alive, reduce aileron
Rotate (at 51 kts)
Takeoff (to 65 kts), check WCA
at 200’ Flaps up (catch), to 70 kts, power -1’‘MP, RPM max green
15º AOB turn to crosswind
exit at 45º or turn downwind for 700’ circuit
Turning point checks
Turning point identified by time & features
Align gyro with compass
Check Mp, 10 sec. Carb heat, check MP back or ice
Check fuel remaining vs expected
Engine in the green
Aviate, navigate, communicate
