What are daily hassles?
Daily hassles are minor but frequent aggravations and annoyances of everyday life that combine to cause stress.

These are small daily boosts that make us feel better.
Why do daily hassles threaten our health?
They threaten our health because we experience a lot of them, and their effects add up.
How can both daily hassles and life events make us ill?
They make us ill through their link with life events because life events can disrupt our normal daily routines.
Why are life events indirect and daily hassles direct?
Life events are indirect sources of stress because they affect us by creating lots of more hassles however daily hassles are stressful because we experience them directly.
