Open-loop mode
is very high gain but unstable

Differential amplifier

one is fixed reference voltage other is feedback voltage
An op-amp has a very high input impedance
and low output impedance
Inverting amplifier
the non-inverting input is grounded and the input signal goes to the inverting input.
output signal will be 180 degrees out of phase with input
Non-inverting amplifier
inverted input is grounded
input signal goes to the non-inverting input
output is in phase with input
Summing-amplifier
adds together two or more voltages at the inputs, and amplifies them at the output
Vout = -( V1(Rf/R1) + V2(Rf/R1) +V3*(Rf/R1))
