The Treaty was signed by Hungary and Allied Powers concluding World War I between the two sides, 1920- Signed at the Trianon Palace, Versailles, France

It granted then Czechoslovakia (now Slovakia) 175 ha of Tokaj vineyards in seven villages. It granted 4500 ha of the vineyards to Hungary and gave Hungary authorized power to govern the wine laws/quality control regulations of the wines produced from the whole Tokaj region.
