Someone who can perform to an almost exemplary standard in an activity
Examples of model performers
Andy Murray- model performer in physical but can struggle with emotions
Who could a model performer be
- an elite athlete
- a classmate
- a team captain

- is able to continue putting in 100% effort throughout the more difficult competitive circumstances even when things aren’t going well
- is able to focus and remain headstrong during difficult situations
What is an emotional model performer
- controls their anger in moments that others may find frustrating
- is able to carry on even when they are scared
- doesn’t let any outside distractions or sadness get in the way of their performance

- motivation boost can be achieved as you strive to be as good as the model performer
Disadvantages of learning from a model performer
- lose confidence if you can’t reach the model performers level
- can be very time consuming
