Clinical features of TOF

A
  • cyanosed (depends on severity of pulmonary stenosis)
  • retardes growth, but not mental devt
  • clubbing
  • squatting (lessens R to L shunting by increasing systemic vascular resistance; RV outflow tract relaxes, more blood oxygenated to the lungs)
  • cyanotic spells
  • hyperpnea
