CVP implications

A

Normal values slightly higher with mechanical ventilation.
Used to estimate cardiac function (LA pressure) and/or blood volume status.

High value could indicate fluid overload (interpret with other clinical signs)

Unreliable if patient has heart failure or low ejection fraction.
