Inputs –

  • PZR safeties, SDC reliefs, RCP vapor seal leakoff, CNMT drains
    0. 5 psig N2 blanket (O2);

auto isolates at 10 psig (closes 560 & 540) (outlet and vent)

52% quench volume (RMW)

20” rupture disc goes at 120 psid (stuck open PZR safety)

Vented to GR if < 10 psig or to PASS (923) if > 10 psig

RDPs stop on lo RDT level if aligned to pump the RDT

What is its power supply and fail state?

A

RDT outlet valves. Closes on CIAS and HI HI RDT pressure of 10#(560 only). Can’t override hi pressure closure.

Powered from PKA and PKB. Fails CLOSED.

A

RDPs pump RDT or EDT to HUT thru filter, PHIX, and Gas Stripper (only path procedurally allowed)

Can bypass the gas stripper(normally) or PHIX if chemistry and activity supports

Auto Stops Lo RDT level with 560 and 561 open

Lo EDT level with 563 open

560 or 561 closed with 563 closed (no suction)

500 diverts to PHIX

Other RDP started

Loss of CP

Pump must be manually restarted once condition clears

565 (NK-AOV) PHIX temp bypass; fails to bypass; (IX-AUTO-BYPASS)

Bypasses on Hi PHIX inlet temp of 140F (135 reset)

Shifts to IX on VCT level of 60% if no hi inlet temp present – returns to bypass at 58%
