CV Risk Flashcards
What are the TIMI criteria?
Age >65 >3 CAD risk factors Known CAD (Stenosis >50%) ASA use in past 7 days Severe angina (>2 episodes in 24hrs) ST changes >0.5mm Positive Troponin
What is HEART Score used for?
Predicts 6 week risk of MACE, defined as all-cause mortality, MI, or coronary revascularization. Low risk is a score of 0-3.
What are the elements of the HEART Score?
History: Highly Suspicious (+2), Moderately (+1), Slightly Suspicious (0)
ECG: Significant STD (+2), Non-specific repolarization disturbance (+1), Normal (0)
Age: >65 (+2), 45-65 (+1), 3 risk factors or history of atherosclerotic disease (+2), 1-2 risk factors (+1), No known risk factors (0)
Troponin: >3x normal (+2), 1-3x (+1),
What is the TIMI Score used for?
Estimates 14-day mortality risk for patients with unstable angina and NSTEMI.
What does the EDACS Score identify, and who does it apply to? (3 criteria)
Identities chest pain patients with low risk of major adverse cardiac event.
This score only applies to patients:
>18 years old with normal vitals
Chest pain consistent with ACS
No ongoing chest pain or crescendo angina
What criteria are the EDACS score based on?
Age Sex (+6pts for male) Known CAD or >3 risk factors (+4pts) Diaphoresis (+3pts) Radiates to arm or shoulder (+5pts) Pain occurred or worsened with inspiration (-4pts) Pain is reproduced by palpation (-6pts)
