Q

C: blades

A

The blades are forged tool steel.

They are centrally pivoted within the tool body.

There’s a recess at the bottom of the blade which allows Max cutting power.

The maximum opening is 20 cm and the maximum cut force is 1018 kN.

Q

C: tool body, fluid / ram / plunger

A

The body is made of structural aluminium.

It consists of a hydraulic cylinder fitted with double acting hydraulic ram and plunger

Double acting ram is pressurised and activates the hydraulic fluid which moves the plunger and is controlled by a 3 way valve and is protected by a safety valve

Q

C: tool body, rotating handles

A

The rotating handle controls operation of arms through a 3 way valve

in neutral the valve directs fluid back to the return hose without creating pressure

Left / right one plunger side is pressurised and at the same time connects with the return hose to create a hydraulic circuit

Q

C: tool body, valves

A

Double check valve ensures when in neutral / disconnected hoses, the tool remains in place and doesn’t creep or fade.

Safety valve is to prevent the tool exceeding 360b of pressure.
