religion: very important made up of their own belief system (Daba) and also influenced by Tibetan Buddhism
diet: smoked and salted meat
style: women long white pleated skirts folded into waist sash - different coloured long sleeve mandarin collared shirts - young women adorn hair with flowers and ornaments - wear traditional dress and hair at thirteen
N&V: no tradition of marriage - living arrangements organised around siblings in same houses (raise women’s children together) - relationships take place through system of secret night visits - several lovers
