How people communicate with each other
Sharing a language is the strongest bond between people. It can unify groups in a larger culture.
Example: American english, British english

A persons beliefs in god
Religions help people answer questions about life’s meanings. People who share religious beliefs feel a strong connection to each other.
Examples: Christianity, Islam, Judaism

Types of groups in a society
There are many different types of groups in a society. Family is the most important. Class or economic status (wealth) can also play a big role.
Example: ethnic group, age, gender
Define the Government element of culture
The system of how a group is ruled.
Different types of governments are organized and who holds power is based on cultural values.
Examples: Autocracy, Monarchy, Democracy

How people earn a living
Traditional - customs and values
Market - freedom and personal choice
Command - government control

A market economy is based on people having the freedom to make their own choices of what they want to buy.
