Q

what are the findings of the study ?

A
  • secure attachment was the most common (50-75 %) followed by avoidant and resistant
  • resistant was least common ( Japan + Israel showed higher levels in comparison to other cultures )
  • insecure avoidant was most common in Germany and least common in Japan
  • variation within cultures was 150 % greater than between
    e.g in 1 study type B was 46 % compared to 90 %

16
Q

what did he conduct a study on ?

A
  • to compare the proportions of attachment types in Korea to other studies
17
Q

how did he conduct this study ?

A
  • using the strange situation to assess 87 children
18
Q

what did the overall proportions show ?

A
  • insecure and secure babies were similar to those in most countries , with most infants being secure
19
Q

what did the overall conclusions show ?
