Secure attachment was the most common attachment style
Western - avoidant most common insecure
Non-western - resistant most common insecure
What was found in Sagi (1991) study of american and Japanese infants?
Found that american infants 71% secure, 12% resistant, 17% avoidant compared to 0% avoidant in japan
What are some issues with cross culture meta-analysis?
Cultural bias of cross-cultural research using the strange situation
There may be visible differences in behaviour across cultures but the idea of security is very similar and suggest universality
