what is surface culture
A
- What you can see, hear, smell or taste about a culture. - - The manifestation of deep culture that can be seen, such as literature, dance or food
- eating food with hands

- values and beliefs that underpin the surface culture.
- may not immediately obvious about a culture and you would need to know more about the culture to understand it

- collectivist countries like Fiji, Hong Kong and Japan conformed more in the replication of Asch’s conformity experiment
- more individualistic places like the USA, Netherlands and France conformed a lot less
