CRJ RKA Flashcards
What is on the Take Off Confih
Flaps, Flight Spoilers, parking brake, autopilot and trims
How is APR and VIB presented
N1 shows APR and REV in gauge. There is a separate VIB gauge
N2 shows VIB in gauge
When and how can CASS messages be boxed (caution Amber)
Engines running, on the ground, press the CASS button
Where does the APU get fuel
From both wing tank, thru xflow pump
If the xflow pump fails, where does APU get fuel
Fuel is received from the pressurized right engine fuel feed via the negative gravity relief valve
Min Batt voltage for APU start
22 VDC on both
What does pressing the Fuel/per switch do
APU in Bite, Opens APU Fuel SOV Activates Xflow/APU pump Displays gauges Opens APU door
APU start
4% fuel
50% start cutout, light off
99% 4 seconds, avail light on
2 minute warm up for Bleeds
APU fire warn on ground
APU shutdown, automatic discharge of FE
Max speeds if APU door open or unknown
300 KIAS or APU in continuous operation
To prevent APU windmill above 8%
EGT limits (APU)
743 below 87%
974 above
APU starter limits
APU battery. 30s 30s 20 min off, 30s 30s 40 off
GPU. 15 15 20 min off, 15 15 40 off
Should allow 2 minutes between 1&2 and 3&4
Auto fuel Xfeed limits
200 between wing tanks,
Transfers until low side is up 50
Center tank transfers when wings go below 94% until fills back up, then repeats
How downs fuel enter collector tanks
From wings, gravity in to collectors
Sac age ejectors from wings to collector
Reason for boost pumps
For starting and backup to main ejectors
What happens if 1 main ejector fails
Both boost pumps come on
Bypass air accounts for how much thrust
85%
What is on the accessory gear box AGB
Oil pump and reservoir Alternates for N1 control amp ED hydraulic pump ED fuel pump and fcu IDG ATS N2 indication
Max oil consumption
.2 ATS per hour
What controls engine speeds
Low engine speeds, FCU controls with respect to N2
Above 79%, the N1 control amplifiers controls with respect to N1
APR
Increases thrust approx 2%. 8779 to 9220
Can be used for 5 minutes
TO restrictions with regards to APU, ice
If ice on, APR must be operative
If no APR, packs must be off for TO if ice on
When does the start sequence end
55% N2
Where does ignition get power
A is AC Essential
B is battery bus thru static inverter
Required for TR use
WOW and speed over 16 kt
TO power limits
TO and max power is 5 minutes
ITT 884 for 5 minutes, 928 for 2 of 5 minutes
Oil pressure
25 idle
45 take off
115 max continuous
Cold 130, 10 minute max
Duct monitor test
14 and 10 for continuity
A&ab test 10 loops individually
Function of LCV
Provides APU bleed air to 10th stage bleed manifold. Fails in position
How does the bleed overheat work
Thermal detectors located in the wing leading edges detect leakage of the 14th stage air in the piccolo tubes
Where does avionics and cart cooling air go
It exhaust overboard if pax or service door is open. EICAS shows OVBD COOL if valve fails open when doors are closed
Max alt if single pack
FL250
what will cause PACK FAIL switch light
Over temp or over press
Temp closes pack
Press closes SOV and pack
Consideration of CPAM failure
Will auto switch to standby controller. MASK DOES NOT DROP AUTOMATICALLY IF ON BACKUP
Cabin alt alerts
To 8500’. Green
8500-10000’ red
14000 mask deploy
Emer depress
Opens outflow
Cabin to 14,250 +/- 750’
Full depress if below 14250’
Flight abort mode
Eliminates need to reset landing elevation if
With in 10 minutes And Below 6000 feet And Initiates a 1000 rpm descent
Normal pneumatic duct pressure
45 psi
What does AC service bus power
AC service bus and AC utility 1 and 2. Outside
All AC bus except utility 1 and 2 from inside
DC service bus
GPS and battery bus, nav lights, some interior
Dc external power, main batt dir, APU batt dir and dc batt bus
Cannot use external AC and dc at the same time
Main. 17 amp hous
APU 43 amp hour
Battery rating
