Crj Fuel System Flashcards
When do the boost pumps operate?
Engine start and main ejector failure. When Low pressure is sensed.
How does the apu get fuel?
Via thd apu/xflow pump
What is motive flow?
Created when high pressure fuel passes through a Venturi ejector creating a hi to low continuos flow to the collectors and engine after engine start.
Which ejectors move fuel from wings to collector tank.
The scavenge ejectors
When do the boost pumps operate?
When armed and low fuel feed pressure is detected in the feed manifold.
Which ejectors move fuel from center tank to thd wings?
Transfer ejectors
How does the apu get fuel fuel when the apu pump fails?
Via the negative gravity relief valve from the right engine.
When is automatic x flow initiated?
When fuel difference of 200lbs exists. Quantity is brought up to 50 lbs higher on the opposite side.
How do you manually xflow fuel?
Select man xflow then push in which side to txfr fuel to.
When will auto fill from center to wings occur?
At 94% wing tank capacity. No associated messages.
Where is the optional refuel panel?
Above cbp 2
How would the collectors get fuel if the scavenge ejectors fail?
Gravity feed manifold
How is fuel kept from reaching the wing tips in a turn.
One way flow valves attached to the wing ribs.
Are the fuel pumps ac or dc?
Dc fuel pumps
WhT is max fuel in the 200?
4760lbs/ side
14518lbs total
