How is a situational crisis defined?
Something that is a crisis to an individual such as a death, divorce, rape, so on. It is an unexpected crisis that arises suddenly in response to an external event or a conflict concerning a specific circumstance. The symptoms are transient, and episode brief.
How is maturational crisis defined?
Usual coping mechanisms are inadequate in dealing with a stress common to a particular stage in life cycle or with stress caused by a transition form one stage to another. Graduation,new job,marriage, brith of a child, divorce..
How is adventitious crisis defined?
A rare accidental and unexpected tragedy that may affect and entire community or population, such as an earthquake, flood or airplane crash. In addition to injuries, loss of life, and property damage, this type of crisis often results in long term psychological effects.
