Definition of criminal law
Criminal law is a body of law that relates to crimen which constitutes an offence and is punishable under the criminal law
Definition of civil law
Is a dispute between two parties where one party is infringed
Aim of criminal law
protect society from harm and punish those who offend against the rules/values
Aim of civil law
To return the party who has suffered loss injury and damages to their original position
