Prisoner’s reoffend- prison is a school for criminals.

What do Muslim countries believe about society and punishment?

A

they think it is important for society to see that justice is done and many punishments are public, such as floggings, amputations and executions. Muslims believe these punishments deter others and help give victims satisfaction.

Bhutan and Thailand are official buddhist countries, but the death penalty is still carried out even though the first precept of Buddhism is to not take life.

Why do different christians have different beliefs about the death penalty?

A

Because there are many contradictory teachings in the Bible. Firstly ‘he who sheds the blood of a man, by man his blood shall be shed’ Genesis 9:6, but the scripture also states ‘Do not commit murder’ Exodus 20:13.

what do muslims think about the death penalty?

A

they often agree. The Qur’an permits it in cases of murder and when a person leaves the Islamic faith then says insulting things about it.

A

IT’s cheaper than a life sentence WHY SHOULD TAC PAYERS PAY? It is a very effective deterrent and a form of retribution and protection.

A

When a person breaks a rule or law of their religion, which may or may not be a criminal offence. It’s called committing a SIN. such as BLASPHEMY
