A
  • Southern Yellow Pine or Douglas Fir
  • Maintain 4” overlap on box cribbing
  • 4x4 = 6,000 lbs per point of contact
  • 6x6 = 15,000 lbs per point of contact

Box Cribbing

A
  • Should not routinely exceed 3x the width minus overlap if all 4 points are loaded
  • Never stack more that 2 high in the same direction
  • Overlap edges by dimension of the cribbing to ensure slow, crushing failure.
  • Recommended 3x3 crib tower be used for airbag operations

Shims and Wedges

  • Place cut side to cut side
  • Can produce 500-700 lbs of lift due to MA
  • A set of 4x4 wedges can effectively lift 6” without being overdriven.
