Q

What is the meaning of ‘God is Creator’?

A

God is the only creator, who has created everything.
This shows that God is the only one who should be worshipped, and that all of creation is special, as it has all been created by God. Genesis 1:27 shows that he created humans in his own image, therefore we share some of his qualities, like wisdom, love and spirituality.

Q

What is the meaning of ‘God is omnipotent’?

A

God has the power to do whatever he wants, and can create from nothing. Christian knowledge of his power inspires them to trust in him as they know he has the power to do or change anything.

Q

What is the meaning of ‘God is transcendent’?

A

God only needs his word to create and is completely above and beyond the created world. God is also beyond human understanding. He cannot be fully described in words, or fully understood by human minds and he inspires awe.
