Superior oblique eye muscle
Trigeminal
Sensory from anterior scalp, nasal cavity, entire face, most of oral cavity, and teeth. Muscles of mastication.
Abducens
Lateral rectus eye muscle
Facial
Taste from anterior 2/3 of tongue. Muscles of facial expression. Increases lacrimal gland secretion.
Vestibulocochlear
Hearing, equilibrium
Glossopharyngeal
General sensory and taste from posterior 1/3 of tongue. Increases secretion from parotid salivary gland.
Vagus
Visceral sensory information from heart, lungs, and most abdominal organs. Most pharyngeal muscles, all laryngeal muscles. Innervates smooth muscle and glands of heart.
Accessory
Trapezius muscle, sternocleidomastoid muscle
Hypoglossal
Intrinsic and extrinsic tongue muscles
