convey information from the meninges (occipital dura), and the throat
Vagus Nerve motor branches
innervates:
- the throat

- smooth muscles of the digestive tract.
How is this nerve usually damaged?

- forcible contractions of heart.
- slowed respiration
- sense of suffocation
- speech impairments
