Explain section 32 a person in lawful custody must provide what to Police otherwise they are liable for what?
- Name, address, DOB, Photo, fingerprints, palm prints and footprints
- Can reasonable force if needed

Explain section 33 which relates to obtaining identifying particulars from a person you wish to summons?
- Suspect a offence
- Charge by way of summons

Under section 36 What things must you believe a 1K person will cause or do for that person to be detained and taken to custody to sober up?
- incapable of protecting themselves from physical harm
- Likely to cause harm to another person
- Cause property damage
You must be satisfied not practicable to provide care by
- taking them home or to a shelter
You are satisfied that a 1K person needs to be detained so they can sober up. How long can you hold that person?
- Until sober but no longer than 12 hours
When can a doctor can recommended a further 12 hours of a 1K person?
- Remains intoxicated and incapable of protecting themselves
- No health needs that require medical care
- Not practicable to provide them care by taking them home or to shelter
What is a temporary shelter?
- Place not operated by Police
- Can provide care and protection to 1K person
What does detain mean?
- Take in custody as if was power to arrest
