Define Regeneration.
The work of the Holy Spirit in creating new life in the sinful person who repents and comes to believe in Christ.
Define Sanctification.
The divine act of making the believer actually holy, that is, bring the person’s moral condition into conformity with the legal status established in justification.
Define the three types of Sanctification.
1) Initial Sanctification - Occurs at the Same Time As Regeneration (Setting Apart)
2) Progressive Sanctification - The Ongoing experience of the individual being continually transformed into he likeness of God.
3) Perfect/Complete Sanctification - The final act where the believer is made complete in holiness at the resurrection of the body and the effects of the fall on the Imago Dei will be fully reversed.
Define a model of sanctification.
A pattern, paradigm, or framework that attempts to relate the various pieces of biblical data on the subject into a coherent, systematic, and comprehensive whole.
