Define justify/justification.
To declare righteous rather than make righteous.
What are the two aspects of justification?
1) The non-imputation of sin. (Forgiveness.)
2) The Imputation of Christ’s righteousness into the believer.
What is the core difference between regeneration/sanctification and justification?
Justification is a change in the legal status of how we are viewed before God. Regeneration/Sanctification refers to the state of the believer changing and becoming righteous.
What is the state of a believers justification?
Eschatological in nature. We have been justified and will be justified.
How is God able to maintain his nature and still justify us?
Because the source of justification is the believer’s spiritual union with Christ who is perfect.
What divine action always accompanies but is different than justification?
Sanctification.
