Q

Pathogenesis?

A

Upper RT infected → replication
Alveoli → type II pneumocyte
ACE-2 receptor and spike protein
pneumocyte destroyed → viral release
Engulfed by alveolar macrophage → IL1 and TNF-a
Systemic hypotension → multi organ failure
causes SIRS

pneumocyte II → alveolar collapse
