Perimeter
The measure of the distance around a two dimensional figure.
Area
The measure of the amount of surface enclosed by the boundary of a figure
Polygon
A shape formed by three or more line segments, called sides.
Vertex
A corner of a polygon
Right Angle
An angle that measures 90 degrees.
Perpendicular Lines
Lines that meet at right angles
Base
Side of a triangle
Height of a Triangle
The perpendicular distance from the vertex opposite the base to the base.
Coordinate
An ordered pair of numbers used to locate a point on a coordinate grid.
X coordinate
The first number in an ordered pair. This is the horizontal line
Y coordinate
The second number in an ordered pair. This is the vertical line.

A cube whose edges are 1 unit long. It is the basic unit of measurement.

A line segment formed where two faces of a three dimensional shape meet.

A three dimensional figure with a top and bottom (base) that are congruent polygons and lateral faces that are parallelograms.
