Where is the ‘and’ positioned in the Māori language?
The and goes between then tens and the ones so where in the English language we might say 500 and 63, in the Māori language we say 500, 6 tens and three.
When is the ‘e’ used before numbers?
When someone asks about age, or just in general.
Only used before number 2-9 and their base numbers (eg. 2, 200, 2000, etc.)
