Measure the International Normalised Ratio (INR)
= ratio of patient’s PT + control sample
X Liver Disease
X Thyrotoxicosis
X Pregnancy
Decrease w/ antibiotics, Amiodarone, Cimetidine, Clofibrate, Fluconazole, Metronidazole, Antiplatelet drugs, NSAIDs
Increase w/ Barbituates, Carbamazepine, Rifampicin, Sucralfate
