Core Pure - Volumes Of Revolutions (1) Flashcards
What is the simple thing to remember about volumes of revolution?
If it is being rotated around the x axis you have dx
If it is being rotated around the y axis you have dy
They integral will be of the opposite squared
The co ordinates will be the co ordinate of the dx or dy at the end
Multiply by pi
What is the formular for volumes of revolution around the x axis?
What is the formular for volumes of revolution around the y axis?
What is the volume of a cylinder?
What is the volume of a cone?
What does compound volumes of revolution infer?
You may need to do multiple volumes of revolution and then + or - them to get the actual answer
What is the formular for volumes of revolution when it isn’t rotated all the way around the axis?
Degrees and radians?
