What does lagging do?
Protects the structure of the drum and it is made from rubber or urethane
What are the 2 ways to tension a belt?
- Counter weight
- Take up units
What are the rolls mounted on top of the conveyor?
Troughing rolls
What are the rolls on the bottom of the conveyor?
Return rolls
What is considered bulk material?
Material that is dirty, dusty, corrosive and lumpy

Troughed belt
Conveyor used for handling sharp or abrasive material?
Apron or pan conveyor
Why would we use a winged tail pulley?
Messy environments where build up can happen and when your conveyor is outdoors

Cans

Fasteners (mechanical splices) or they can be vulcanized

Moving material
