What are adjacency pairs and give examples?
A
Adjacency pairs are exchanges between 2 speakers. questions - answers offers - acceptances accusations - denials criticisms - justifications greetings - return greetings

What are disprefered 2nd part answers and what do we do with them?
A
This is when the 2nd part exchange is not preferred by the 1st speaker. We tend to give longer delays (0.6) and we use utterances like ‘uggggh’
