Counterbalancing defines

A

Alternating the order in which participants perform conditions of the experiment. This reduces order effects. eg. instead of A-A-B-B. it will go A-B-B-A.

A

All participants having an equal chance to partake in both conditions, where they are placed randomly in either condition using a number generator/any unbiased source. Limits participant variables and avoids bias.
