alcohol adds kj to ones diet –> if not burnt off can lead to excess in adipose tissue –> lead to obesity –> inhibition of glucose –> type 2 diabetes

long term use of alcohol –> cause high blood pressure –> increase risk of strokes/blood clots

alcohol is a carcinogenic –> cause DNA damage –> healthy cells turn cancerous –> increase risk of mouth/liver cancer

alcohol is a depressant –> inhibits activities in body central nervous system –> decreases level of awareness –> drink driving

maternal drinking –> risk of premature birth/low birth weight

alocohol is filtered through the liver –> over consumption lead to liver scarring
