SABA/LABA

A

Anxiety related symptoms, arrhythmia, atrial fibrillation, tolerance.
Tremor from skeletal muscle activation.
Vasodilation of peripheral vessels reduces BP, causing reflex tachycardia.
Hypokalaemia cause myocardial hyperexcitability

SAMA/LAMA

A

Dry mouth, urine retention, headache, drowsy, blurred vision, constipation, diarrhoea, vomiting, palpitations, tachycardia. Don give with other anticholinerguc drugs

Methylxanthines

A

Tachycardia & arrhythmias due to PDE inhibition. Anorexia, nausea, vomiting, nervous, insomnia, seizures

A

Few ADR, long term risk of neuropsychiatric effects - suicidal, nightmares, behavioural problems

Corticosteroids

A

Oral steroids have systemic effects. Carbs: decrease glucose uptake and utilisation, increase gluconeogenesis. Proteins: increase catabolism and decrease anabolism. Fat redistribution. Suppress HPA axis. Osteoporosis, immunosuppression and poor wound healing. Candidiasis and growth retardation.
