assisted living facility
differs from skilled cursing care in that it provides custodial care to maintain patients at their current level of function
nursing home care
medically stable but fragile patients often need extended medical and nursing care. patients needing this level of care may be too ill for discharge to a nursing facility, an acute care rehabilitation hospital or their homes
long term acute care
encompass many different settings including health care provider offices, hospital base or privately owned clinics, and health clinics
ambulatory care services
intensified and structured like an inpatient program with the less restrictive environment of outpatient care treatment programs
ambulatory care services
provided to those with the intent of restoring function or maintaining level of function
home health services
are provided for the intent of maximal comfort and safety oof dying patients typically with 6 mo or less to live. services can be provided in the home environment or in a specialty facility
hospice services
both of these are required to complete an undergraduate degree followed by four years of medical school, and then a residency program, a residency program is done in an area of specialty
