1: The Right to choice.
2: The Right to Information
3: The Right to Safety
4: The Right to Redress
5: The Right to Quality
Explain the Right to Choice:
This means having a wide variety of goods and services to choose from.
Explain the Right to Information:
This means that information written on goods or about services must be true:
e.g. A chair is labelled ‘genuine leather’ therefore it must be.
Explain the Right to Safety:
Goods and services must be safe for the consumer to use.
Explain the Right to Redress:
The 3 R’s:
- Replace (e.g. New shoes)
- Refund ( money back)
- Repair (item is fixed free of charge)
Explain the Right to Quality:
Goods must be fit for purpose and must be of merchantable quality.
What is a monopoly?
A monopoly: is when only one company provide that good or service.
