What is Constructivism
A
- belief in ideas and how they effect the way we perceive the world
- people act towards things on the basis of the meanings the thing holds for it
- belief in social construction of reality and importance of social facts
- focus on ideational/material structures and norms/rules
- role of identity in shaping FP
- agency and structure

Brute Facts v. Social Facts
A
- Brute Facts: a concrete fact (e.g. Ayers Rock exists)
- Social Facts: regarded as fact only through human agreement and made observable through human practice (e.g. money)
